“Maggie is a freshman taking a sophomore English class. I want to give her a big shout-out for her
wonderful work on the first project-based learning project. She created a brochure and video about the
human rights issue found in the novel, Hiroshima. She stepped up to the challenge with a well-researched
brochure and a well thought out video – way to go!” – Mrs. Meyer
The End and the Beginning
Our first semester is ending in 5 days! Many of our students are taking their semester exams and
completing their courses. That means that this semester is ending, and a new one is beginning!
Below are some tips on how to successfully end a semester and how to start again!

Reflect and celebrate

January Fun Facts
On average, it is the coldest month of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Brrrrr!
The original Roman calendar only had 10 months. January and February were added later.
In the Southern Hemisphere January is a summer month the equivalent of July. 🌞
