eSucceed Teachers and Staff

eSucceed Staff

Dr. Michele Andorfer-Director

Hello Families and Students! As the Director of eSucceed, I oversee the daily operations of the school. I also work directly with students in advisory sessions which I really enjoy.

I have been in education my whole career and love learning!   I graduated with my Bachelors degree from UW Eau Claire, Masters degree from Marion University and Doctorate from Cardinal Stritch University.  Ironically, I did not like school as a child, but was fortunate to have some great teachers who were able to ignite the desire to learn. Because of that, I have been on a mission to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for all students and to teach them how they can achieve success. I have taught students at every level – high school, middle school and elementary and also served in administration.

When I am not working with the wonderful staff and students at eSucceed, I enjoy reading, cooking, traveling and being outdoors.

Judo Doro-Administrative Assistant

Hi Families & Students! I was born and raised on my parents’ dairy farm in Gilman, WI. I attended Gilman School, and participated in many extra curricular activities & sports. I graduated from CVTC in 2011 with an Administrative Professional degree. Following graduation I worked in both education and health careers, along with a couple years as a stay at home mom and dairy farmer.

My husband and I, along with our four energetic children own a farm in Lake Holcombe, WI.  I enjoy country living, flower & vegetable gardening, canning, baking, being outdoors, making memories with my family & watching our children grow! What I like about eSucceed is the flexibility & opportunities it offers families.

Kelly Hackett-Administrative Assistant

After travelling to theatres across the country and living amidst the hustle and bustle of large cities such as Chicago and New York City, I am pleased once again to call the beauty and relative calm of Wisconsin my home.  Live theatre is my passion.  I’ve been a professional actress, performing roles in plays and musicals, most of my adult life.  I am also devoted to education.  Throughout the years, I’ve served many school districts as a substitute teacher and have, in that role, gotten to know students of every age.  It is crucial that we allow students to process information in manners that suit the many ways in which they learn, and I believe eSucceed offers students great options.  Working with the eSucceed team to help students and families find their stride in education’s ever-changing landscape has already proven to be a meaningful endeavor.

While not onstage or at the virtual office, I enjoy gardening, hiking, and exploring nature. A proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, I also enjoy fulfilling my offstage role of Aunt Kelly to my nieces and nephews.

Katy Stevens-Technology Support

Hello eSucceed Families! I live in Eau Claire, WI with my husband, three school-aged children and two cats.  I earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Education from UW-Stout and just recently got back into the workforce after raising my children for 10 years.

It is so exciting to be a part of eSucceed Virtual School and supporting all the students, teachers and staff. For fun, our family enjoys travelling to Costa Rica, other parts of the world, and within the US.

eSucceed Teachers

Amy Canfield-Elementary Teacher Grades K&1

My name is Amy Canfield and this is my 17th year teaching in the primary grades.  I taught Kindergarten at St. Joseph School in Menomonie for 7 years, 4K for 4 years, 2nd grade at Immaculate Conception School in Eau Claire for 5 years, and this is my first year teaching for eSucceed!

I was born and raised in Menomonie, WI, but have lived in Eau Claire for 15 years now.  I have one daughter, Tianna, who is 12 years old and in 7th grade.   We also have an 8 year old dog named Daisey, who definitely makes our family complete!

Teaching for eSucceed has been a wonderful experience for me so far!  I am enjoying getting to know the students and their families from our surrounding areas.  Our zoom meetings/class times have been my favorite part so far!  Along with reviewing old and learning new concepts during these zoom times, they are making new friendships!  It is so wonderful to see!

Along with loving to teach and being a mom, I really enjoy watching sports, especially my daughter playing volleyball.  I also enjoy taking walks, going on boat rides, traveling and visiting new places, going to music concerts, movies, and plays.

Christi Machler-Elementary Teacher Grades 2&3

Hello! My name is Christi Machler and I teach 2nd and 3rd graders at eSucceed. This will be my 24th year of teaching. I previously taught at Regis Catholic Schools in Eau Claire. Prior to that, I spent twelve years teaching in the state of Hawaii. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Elementary Education, grades 1-6, and a Health Education minor. My graduate work at UWEC has been in the area of Special Education. In 2015, I spent the summer teaching in Shanghai, China and in 2017 I spent time with the Bri Bri students in Costa Rica.

I have a daughter who is a second year veterinary student at Western University of Health Sciences in California, and a son who is an 8th grader at Regis Middle School. My husband and I enjoy cheering on the UW-Badgers, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

I am loving getting to know the eSucceed students and families. Here’s to a GREAT year!

Renee Chandler-Elementary Teacher Grades 4&5

District Assessment Coordinator (DAC)

Hello! I started my teaching career with fifth and sixth graders face-to-face and have come full circle back to teaching grades 4 and 5 online with eSucceed. I also assist with various administrative tasks related to scheduling and assessment. Over the years I have taught both elementary and middle school, general education and special education. I have also taught at the college level, both face-to-face and online, and worked as an administrator in higher education.

I really like eSucceed Virtual School because of the flexibility it gives families.  I am looking forward to implementing some project based learning this year in addition to our regular curriculum.  I enjoy interacting with the fourth and fifth graders and reading the stories they are writing.  Every week I see or hear something from them that makes me smile!

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family on our tree farms and in the woods.  We make firewood to heat our house and also produce lumber for various projects.  We love visiting Lake Superior in the summer.  Someday we would like to add a southern location to our winter plans.

Ellen Grunseth-Middle/High School Math Teacher

Hello! I am working with all of the math students for eSucceed. My journey toward my passion has taken me quite a few years to discover. I worked as a marketer at a national magazine for 20 years, starting right out of college. I was given the opportunity to step in front of a classroom, and it felt like coming “home”.

I currently serve as the band director for Gilman School, while teaching Consumer Math to seniors in the district. Being part of eSucceed has allowed me to work individually with students.

It is a goal of mine to demolish the idea that a student “can’t do math”. Everyone can “do math”, we just have to figure out how.

Kate Kistner-Middle/High School Spanish Teacher

Hello! This is my second year teaching Spanish with eSucceed. I love the flexibility and pacing eSucceed has for our students. My students are able to work ahead or go at their own pace. I love the ability to incorporate culture into our learning and focus on more than just the language.

I have two dogs, Bruno and Shilo. When I am not teaching you can find me fishing, camping, enjoying the beautiful outdoors, or working as an EMT on my local ambulance. I am working on my Master of Education and I hope to continue my education and be a lifelong learner!

Sonya Kohls-Middle/High School Science Teacher

Hola!!  This year will be my 10th year of teaching science, and my 2nd year teaching virtually.  In addition to teaching virtually, I work for our family’s business – demolition roll-off dumpsters.  I am excited for this new adventure in learning and education.

Prior to entering public education, I spent countless hours encouraging, cheering, challenging, and facilitating groups on ropes and challenge courses and worked as a human resource generalist.  While I worked as a human resource generalist, I missed motivating kiddos to be and do their best so much that I left the world of business and went back to school for my teaching licenses in science education and alternative education.

In my spare time, I find myself learning from my husband & newborn son, enjoying the outdoors (hiking, biking, kayaking, camping, etc), gazing through the telescope, gardening and canning, reading Harry Potter, and/or traveling to the North Shore of Lake Superior.  One interesting thing about me is I have jumped out of an airplane more than a handful of times.

Here’s to an awesome ‘possum year of learning and adventure!!

Emily Meyer-Middle/High School English Teacher

My name is Emily Meyer and I am the English teacher for eSucceed.  I went to UW-Whitewater and have experience teaching in Madison, Wisconsin Rapids, Port Edwards, and Milwaukee.

My husband and I have 3 children (twins and a 4 year old).  We enjoy spending time taking walks at state parks with our 2 dogs, Merlin and Remi.  It is and has been a joy to teach for eSucceed.  I have really enjoyed the students, staff, and the courses offered through eSucceed.

Peter Munck-Middle/High School Social Studies Teacher

Hello eSucceed, my name is Peter Munck and I am going into my 8th year of working in education! I graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a double major in history and broadfield social studies with a minor in religious studies. When it comes to working in education, I’ve been a substitute teacher, a full time and part time junior high school social studies teacher, high school summer school personal finance and US history teacher, and a homebound teacher with the Charles F Fernandez Center for Alternative Learning in Stevens Point.

I love teaching! It’s a profession I have always wanted to do. I especially enjoy teaching social studies as it’s a way to give each and every student a set of skills from which to draw upon as they live in and contribute to our global society as citizens. This is why I chose to teach at eSucceed Virtual School with its emphasis on working in small groups and project-based learning that is student-centered with real world application.

Personally, I live with my girlfriend Samantha in Stevens Point, Wisconsin and we have three cats. When I am not teaching I can usually be found watching movies (usually horror), reading books, writing poetry, playing Dungeons and Dragons, listening to heavy metal/punk/rap music. I am excited and eager to work with all of you!
