Middle School

Middle school is such a dynamic time in a child’s life.

We’re proud to offer an education that matches all the growing and changing your child will do in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. As your child begins to find their interests and passions, their eSucceed education will continue to foster whatever exploration is next for them. No matter what that is, the support they receive from their online teachers and advisory groups remains constant.

What will my middle schooler’s schedule look like?

Middle school students meet on Zoom three times a week for 35-45 minutes each time. Mondays and Thursdays are a combined Social Studies and English class. Tuesdays are for advisory sessions. The rest of a student’s time during the week should be spent working on lessons for any of their classes.

Project-Based Learning in Middle School

Project-based learning (PBL) is a teaching method that inspires students to use their passions and what they’ve learned on their educational journey to solve real-world problems. PBL encourages the idea that the world needs what each student has to offer. This approach allows students opportunities for real-world experiential learning that gives them the tools they’ll need to succeed beyond the classroom.

The Social Studies and English class uses PBL to give students an opportunity to explore their interests. To teach the beginnings of project-based learning, we discuss projects as a class but students get to complete a project of their choice, all on their own. Middle schoolers choose from a variety of projects within a curriculum framework that meets proper standards. Some projects include in-depth country study and creating your own world.
